The Hang Kasturi Mausoleum

The Hang Kasturi Mausoleum is located in Jalan Hang Jebat, formerly known as Jalan Gelanggang or Jalan Jonker. Hang Kasturi was one of the five brothers-in-arms which included Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu, who were the famous warriors of the Melaka Malay Sultanate.

The mausoleum is moderate in size and is surrounded by a stone wall and a brick and iron fence. There is a gateway on the front side. Part of the stone wall is semi-circular and connected to the adjacent shop house. On the walls of the mausoleum there are small triangles where candles or pelita can be placed. This mausoleum had been restored from time to time based on its original structure.

The Hang Kasturi Mausoleum was gazetted under the Residential Zone under the Preservation and Conservation of Cultural Heritage Enactment 1988 on 28 December 2006.
